The relevant resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 20 May 2026. The document is aimed at adapting Ukraine’s agricultural sector to the requirements of EU Regulation 2023/1115 on preventing deforestation and forest degradation, which will apply from 1 January 2027.
The implementation of the resolution is expected to help Ukrainian producers maintain uninterrupted access to the European Union market, reduce the risk of trade restrictions and improve supply chain transparency.
